Research App Privacy Policy

We view your privacy very seriously and will use strict security protocols to protect your data. Importantly, your name will be replaced with a random code before the data goes to the large computer for storage and later analysis. We cannot completely guarantee that someone cannot gain access to your private data, but importantly the main data storage is secure, encrypted, and does not contain your name.

Also, you always have full control over the data you choose to share for research.  Specifically, you can always control exactly which data fields you wish to share in your data donation by going to the Health app->Sources->Apps, and switching fields on/off as desired. If you have any questions at any time, you can also select "Contact Researcher" from the main screen.
